Faucet Repair in St. George, UT
If your faucet will not stop dripping, faucet repair in St. George usually comes down to one question: will a new cartridge fix it, or is it time for a new faucet? We check the faucet body, the finish, and whether parts are still available, then give you a straight answer and an upfront price. We also install faucets, including ones you bought, and replace the stuck shutoff valves our hard water is known for.

Faucet Problems We Fix
We work on kitchen, bathroom and bar sink faucets, single handle and two handle. Most problems trace back to a worn or scaled cartridge, a clogged aerator, or a tired supply line. We find which one before we quote, so you only pay for the part that is actually failing.
- A drip from the spout that will not stop
- Water leaking around the handle or base
- Weak flow or a sputtering stream
- A stiff handle that is hard to move
- White crusty buildup on the spout and aerator
- Water in the cabinet under the sink
What You Can Try First, and When to Call
Cleaning the aerator is a fair DIY job, and so is a cartridge swap if your shutoff valves turn off cleanly and you know the brand. The brand mark is usually on the handle, the base, or the escutcheon plate, and many makers will send replacement parts.
Call us when the shutoff valves under the sink are stiff or weeping, the faucet is corroded to the sink, there is water damage in the cabinet, or it still drips after a new cartridge. Forcing an old valve or a seized nut is how a small drip turns into a flooded kitchen.
What Happens When We Come Out
We start under the sink: shutoff valves, supply lines, the faucet connections and the drain. Then we look at the faucet itself and identify the brand and cartridge. You get our honest call on cartridge or new faucet and the price before any work starts.
After the repair, we run hot and cold, check every connection under the sink with the cabinet dry, and clean up. We work in homes across St. George, Santa Clara and Washington, and we can usually come out the same day when the schedule allows.

Faucet Installation, Including a Faucet You Bought
We can bring a faucet or install the one you picked out. If you are shopping online, stick with a brand you recognize. Some online brands have no replacement cartridges, which turns a simple drip repair later into buying a whole new faucet.
On every install we check the shutoff valves and recommend quarter-turn valves if the old ones are stiff. We replace old supply lines rather than reuse them, test for leaks with the cabinet dry, and take the old faucet with us. The faucet itself is covered by its maker's warranty.
Remodeling? Small Faucet Upgrades Worth Doing Now
If you are already remodeling a kitchen or bath, it is a reasonable time to replace older cartridges and shutoff valves even if they are not leaking yet. The parts are inexpensive, and the access is never easier. If you are not remodeling, it is not urgent, and we will not tell you otherwise.

Faucet Worries We Hear Most
Straight answers to what homeowners in St. George, Santa Clara and Washington ask before they call about a faucet.
Is it worth replacing the cartridge, or should I buy a new faucet?
If the faucet body and finish are in good shape and the cartridge is still available, a new cartridge is usually the right first fix. A new faucet makes more sense when parts are no longer made, the body is corroded, or you were ready for an upgrade anyway. We tell you which camp yours is in.
The shutoff valve under my sink won't turn. Will it break?
It might. Hard water seizes the old multi-turn valves, and forcing one can snap the stem and leave you with water you cannot shut off. Leave it alone and let us replace it with a quarter-turn valve during the faucet job, with the main water off.
Why is my faucet so slow and the handle so stiff?
Hard water. Slow flow is usually scale in the aerator: unscrew it, soak it in vinegar, rinse, and put it back. A stiff handle means the scale is inside the cartridge, and cleaning will not fix that. The cartridge needs to be replaced.
I replaced the cartridge and it still drips. What did I do wrong?
Probably nothing obvious. The common causes are the wrong cartridge, one that is turned or not fully seated, debris caught in it, or a damaged seat inside the faucet body. Sometimes the body itself is worn, and then a new faucet is the honest answer.
Will you install a faucet I bought online? What if it leaks?
Yes, in most cases. If our connections leak, that is on us. If the faucet itself fails, it goes back to the manufacturer. Some online brands have no replacement parts, so a brand you recognize is easier to service later.
There's water under my sink. Is it the faucet or the line?
Dry everything under the sink, put a paper towel down, and run the faucet. The first wet spot tells you: supply line, faucet base, sprayer hose, or drain. Old braided supply lines are a common culprit, and we replace them on every install.
Faucet Repair: common questions
Should I repair or replace a dripping faucet?
If the faucet is in good shape and parts are available, a new cartridge usually fixes the drip. If it is old, corroded, or parts are hard to find, replacing it often makes more sense. We show you what we find and let you decide.
How do I find out what brand my faucet is?
Look for a logo on the handle, the spout, the base, or the plate under the faucet. A photo of the faucet and the parts under the sink usually lets us identify it. Text us pictures and we can often tell you before we arrive.
Do you replace the shutoff valves too?
We recommend it if they are old or stiff. Hard water seizes them here, and a valve that will not close is a real problem in an emergency. We tell you before replacing anything.
How do I keep hard water from ruining my faucets?
Clean the aerators every few months and wipe off buildup before it hardens. A water softener makes the biggest difference. St. George recommends softener settings of 18 to 22 grains.
How much does faucet repair cost?
It depends on the faucet and the part. A cartridge swap is a smaller job than a new faucet with new valves. We tell you the service call fee when you book and give you the full price before any work starts.
